The chilly weather that winter brings makes coats and jackets essentials for any Jerseyan.

But a thin hand-me-down from your older sibling doesn’t always do. It’s important to buy a good quality coat so that you can keep it for a long time. Plus, warmer people tend to be happier people. The coat options are almost endless, but fluffy fleece jackets tend to be both comfortable and perfect for the winter. Here are three different fleece jackets that you can purchase this season.

Uniqlo is one of the best stores for buying outerwear. Their fleece jackets are some of the comfiest. The fleece jackets are very thick but not heavy. The jacket will keep you warm and toasty, without weighing you down in the process. The price ranges from $19.90 to $29.90. The coats are 100% polyester, which is important because many fluffy winter jackets are made from lynxes. Uniqlo’s fleece jackets are definitely a worthy contender for your closet.

The second option for a fluffy fleece jacket is from Patagonia. Patagonia’s fleece jackets are also 100% polyester (and vegan like Uniqlo’s jackets). However, they are much more expensive, ringing up at $129.00. While the price increase is worth noting when checking out Patagonia’s options, know that the amount of money you spend might mean the jacket will last longer. The coats still remain very soft and smooth. Patagonia’s jackets can definitely keep you comfy during the winter months.

The last place where you can purchase a comfy fleece jacket is from Columbia. Columbia’s fleece jackets range anywhere from $20.00 to $50.00, depending on which style you buy. Their jackets are 100% polyester and they remain (for the most part) cheap. They are still very comfortable and good quality. Colombia is a very popular brand, which makes it easy to pick up one of their jackets from local department stores. Colombia isn’t the cheapest, but it lasts a long time.

Will it be Uniqlo, Patagonia, or Colombia? Maybe you’ll need to try all of them to see, but these three jackets are worth the consideration to put on your list this winter. Happy Shopping!
