Senior Spotlight: Eleanor Fiscor

With the temperature increasing just as much as coursework, senior Eleanor Fiscor is balancing academic and social life, all while surviving a pandemic–just like the rest of us. Although coming up to the end of her four years is going to be a very adventurous journey, she is thankful for all of the opportunities Hunterdon Central has offered and all of the people she met along the way. Eleanor is going to miss Ms. Malzone’s poetry lessons, football games, and especially the cafeteria bagels. Regarding senior events, while Prom is absolutely looking different this year, Eleanor says that she knows we will be sure to make it a blast. She is excited to attend with her friends.

Besides focusing on her studies, Eleanor discovered new hobbies, and especially her love for nature. Hiking has been taking up most of her weekends, as Eleanor makes sure to drag her family and friends along on her adventures. Painting and photography also were added to her list of favorite activities at the moment as she uses those projects to spend time in solitude.

As an Ambassador in Girl Scouts, Eleanor is currently working on a service project. She and another troop member work with the Trexx program by collecting recycled plastic bags from the community and distributing the recycled material to collection boxes around the area.

Overall, Eleanor accounts details of her acts of service and newfound hobbies. She is willing to make the best out of situations and loves to share her newfound joys.
