Anthony Pfau

Anthony Pfau plans to take a gap year before joining the Navy.

Anthony comes from a family of Navy veterans and so as he nears the end of his high school education he asked himself “Why not continue the tradition?” Anthony wants to use his time in the Navy to figure out what career path that he wants to pursue while also traveling and visiting places around the world.

As of right now, Anthony is interested in becoming a therapist upon his retirement from the Navy but plans to “explore other options.” During his gap year he wants to find employment full-time to start saving up money for his post-Naval career.

One of the perks of joining the Navy he says is for the unique experience as well as the fact that

“college is essentially free, so I don’t have to worry about the steep prices of a college education.”

All in all, Anthony hopes to make deep self-discoveries about who he is and what he wants to do as well as understand how he wants to contribute to the world. “Central has taught me that there’s a lot I still don’t know about the world,” and he hopes to use the navy as a way to expand his global knowledge.
