The Hunterdon Art Museum, located in Clinton, New Jersey, is a non-profit art museum that is dedicated to showcasing contemporary art. The upcoming months have some very exciting new exhibits in store. Monica Ong, author, and artist, will soon be presenting her astronomy-based visual poetry art piece in Hunterdon. The piece is currently at The Poetry Foundation in Illinois and will be moved to New Jersey in the spring. In just a few weeks the Liz Mitchell paper boat project will enter the museum, making its first public appearance. The boats are crafted from brown butcher paper and translucent Japanese Kozo paper, forming minuscule, wood-imitating structures. Mitchell worked on the piece while under lockdown and sees it as a passion project of hers. Previous versions of the boats have been released into rivers and watched by spectators. Ahrong Kim, a New Yorker born in South Korea, will be presenting a ceramic piece later this year. Utilizing the complex changes that occur in the process of firing a ceramic piece, Kim displays a type of pottery that is nearly impossible to mimic.
