This month’s Senior Sports Spotlight is Eva Graziano, the current captain of the Girl’s Tennis team at Hunterdon Central. She is also very active in various other organizations at the school!
- How long have you been playing tennis?
I started playing tennis when I was younger but officially started playing during my freshman year.
- What role do you serve on the team?
I have been a varsity captain for two years and play first doubles.
- What do you enjoy most about being on the team?
I enjoy the sense of community, becoming friends with the girls on the team, and playing tennis and enjoying the sport.
- What other clubs or activities are you involved in at Central?
I am part of many honor societies. I am the Tri-M president, Latin president, and the National Honor Society secretary. I am very active in the music program, being a part of Pit, section leader, and jazz lab. I have also been in Mock Trial since my freshman year, and I am now a senior leader.
- What are your plans after high school?
My plans after school are to go to TCNJ (if I get accepted) and become an education major. I hope to become a middle school history teacher and, one day, a high school tennis coach!
- If you could talk to your freshman self, what advice would you give?
The advice I would give to my freshman self is to just have fun. Stop worrying about the things you can’t control and focus on what makes you happy.
